Expertise and career highlights
Carol (Ye) is based in Shanghai and provides on-the-ground market research for PGMs and battery metals in Asia. She has over ten years of experience working in the metals and mining industry working across a variety of roles covering precious metals, market intelligence, price movements, policy developments and commodities trading in China. Prior to joining SFA (Oxford), Carol worked for the World Gold Council in China, leading its research, fostering stakeholder relationships, and covering regions including Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
Previously, she has held roles as a commodities trader for Shanghai Minmetals Development Ltd and as a market analyst for Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, researching metal trends and downstream markets as well as building quantitative supply and demand models.
Carol is a CFA charterholder and a qualified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
