Expertise and career highlights

For 10 years, Thomas has completed multi-disciplined analysis and consulting across many specialist applications affecting the usage of commodities. He is responsible for collating all of SFA (Oxford)'s regular PGM reports. He specialises in high-tech and industrial applications, so continues to advance SFA's databases on electronic, chemical, glass, automotive, fuel cell and other industrial applications. Thomas also undertakes key analyses on the lithium and cobalt markets. With a background in analysing numerous commodity markets, he has participated in numerous downstream projects and worked directly with mining companies to assist with their business strategies.

In his time at SFA he has also worked on a number of consultancy projects PGM supply-side consulting projects for companies in South Africa, as well as market research and analysis for strategic metals, and industrial minerals.

Thomas joined SFA (Oxford) having completed a Master’s of Earth Sciences (with Honours) at the University of Manchester.
