Yolandé is a technical metallurgical field specialist with a decade of on-site mine processing and laboratory experience, in both base and precious metals. Her experience includes production, project process design, commissioning, business case development and project management. 

Before joining SFA, Yolandé held numerous processing and metallurgical positions including technical engineering and technology development at Anglo American. She was based in South Africa with key roles in the platinum processing environment: production, technical metallurgy, and project management at Anglo American. She was the Project Process Engineer leading process-related projects at Amandelbult Complex (platinum and chrome) for both capital and stay-in-business projects, managing engineering design companies (EPCMs), vendors, and multi-disciplined operational teams to deliver project studies within budget and support operational clients with onsite investigations, optimisation initiatives and commissioning.

Yolandé has also worked at Anglo American Platinum's Precious Metals Refinery covering ruthenium distillation, rhodium, and iridium preparation. She spent 4 years in South America as a process and commissioning analyst for the Anglo American Minas Rio Brasil venture, and led the piloting campaign at Los Bronces mine in Chile, testing new metallurgical technology.

Yolandé graduated from Stellenbosch University with a Chemical Engineering degree, and she works remotely for SFA based in Seattle, USA.
